Potential rain on Friday morning but a perfect low-70s day on Saturday are in the forecast this weekend as Tar Heel Lettermen return to Chapel Hill for their annual spring reunion.
Rain along with a thunderstorm are listed at a 70 percent chance for Friday as the annual Morris Mason Golf Tournament is held at Governors Club. The driving range opens at 9 a.m. and the shotgun start is scheduled to begin at 10:30. If there are any weather-related announcements concerning the golf, we’ll post them as soon as possible on the Lettermen’s website and on Facebook.
A social hour and dinner with head coach Larry Fedora and his staff will be held Friday night on the fifth floor of the Kenan Football Center, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Parking is available in the Bell Tower lot adjacent to Kenan Stadium.
A pre-game BBQ will begin at 12:30 Saturday at a quad beside the Bell Tower prior to the 3 p.m. kick-off for the Blue-White Game.
A new collection of uniforms for the 2013 season will be unveiled at the Blue-White Game on Saturday. Prior to the game, the Tar Heels’ new base uniforms built around the traditional Carolina blue and white will be on display outside the Kenan Football Center. An alternate uniform—such as the one worn for the N.C. State game last year—will be unveiled at halftime.
Players will be available for autographs for one hour beginnings at 12:45 near Gate 3.
Former Tar Heel center Jeff Saturday will be recognized during the second half of the game following his retirement from the NFL.
