Forties Era Fullback Walt Pupa Dies at Age 90

        Walt Pupa, a Tar Heel Letterman from 1945-47, died Tuesday at the age of 90 at WakeMed Hospital in Raleigh. He was an All-America fullback during the Justice Era of the late 1940s and won the Patterson Medal. Services are planned for 1:30 p.m. Saturday Dec. 3 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Raleigh. The Carolina Letterman family sends its condolences to the Pupa family. His obituary can be found here.
