Thornton An Inspiration To Current Tar Heels

Share |

David Thornton returned in March to the Indianapolis Colts as Director of Player Engagement. Thornton, a former walk-on and Letterman from 1999-2001, played for the Colts from 2002-05 and then for the Tennessee Titans from 2006-10. He retired in the summer of 2011 and spent last fall in Chapel Hill on the administrative staff for coach Everett Withers. Here is a terrific story from the Indianapolis Star about Thornton, his new job and the legacy he leaves in Chapel Hill.
