Ed Bilpuch Dies

         Funeral services for Ed Bilpuch were scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, at Howerton and Bryan Funeral Home, 1005 West Main Street in Durham. Bilpuch died of a heart attack on Sunday, Sept. 16, at the age of 85.

            Bilpuch earned his degree in physics from Carolina in 1950 and earned two letters playing football during the Justice Era.

            Bilpuch was a retired Duke University physics professor and one of the founding fathers of the Triangle Universities Nuclear Laboratory. His obituary at the Duke Today website can be found here.
